Drake declares his love for Rihanna during NYC concert

Drake's love for Rihanna isn't a secret anymore!

The Canadian rapper performed at Madison Square Garden in New York City Saturday night and declared his love for R&B songstress while addressing the crowd.

"If you've got love for Rihanna in New York City...cuz you know I've got love for Rihanna," he told the audience before launching into a few of her songs, according to Page Six. The concert also featuredFuture.

Although Drake made it clear he admires the "Work" singer, the "One Dance" performer also flirted with the women in the crowd. "Where's all my New York women tonight at, cuz I've got a night off after this," he teased.

RiRi and Drake have been on-again, off-again for what seems like years, but only recently have they officially declared themselves back on—without making it official (by using a label).

Although Drake has loved Rihanna for a longtime, he has never been able to call her his girlfriend. And a source explained to E! News recently why that is.

"Rihanna and Drake are hanging out a bit more lately. Rihanna loves Drake, but is still not ready to put a title on them," a source told us exclusively.

The "S&M" songstress consistently puts the brakes on their relationship because she isn't ready to settle down just yet. "Drake would make her his girlfriend in a second if he could. It's more on Rihanna, though. They both care about each other and are having a good time spending time with each other," the insider added. "Drake has expressed to Rihanna that he only wants to date her and only her, but she wants to take day by day this time around."

Despite the fact that they're taking it slowly, this (unofficial) couple is very happy. "Things are great though and their connection is really strong," the source noted. "Things are progressing nicely."

Even though both musicians are busy with their own tours, Drake and Rihanna have managed to make it work. Drake has appeared in Rihanna's Anti tour and the Bajan beauty returned the favor by making a cameo in Drake's OVO performance in Toronto.
