The group of 40 players and management were thrilled as they entered the team room to find Bolt waiting to meet everyone and share his thoughts on preparation and performance at major championships.
Bolt delivered a strong message to the team and left them with one fundamental piece of advice - "It’s the sport you love, so enjoy the moment."
He added: "When you enjoy what you do, you perform to the best of your ability.”
Ireland team members clearly enjoyed the moment with Bolt and even joined the charismatic Jamaican to perform his signature pose. The runner was also presented with a signed Ireland rugby jersey and an engraved piece of Irish silver.
The 2015 Rugby World Cup in England gets underway on Friday, September 18. Ireland kicks off their campaign against Canada at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.
