HRPP unity remains solid, says Tuilaepa

HRPP, the ruling Human Rights Protection Party’s unity is as solid as ever.

Brushing aside media inquiries, Party leader and Prime Minister Tuilaepa Lupesoliai Sailele Malielegaoi told a press conference that reports of cracks within the HRPP are a “non-issue.”

“You have to remember it’s an election year.

“And having been around for over 30 years, it would be abnormal for the Party if our political arch rivals would spare no expense in attempts to break up the HRPP family in the eve of General Elections.”

He recalled that there were similar disruptions in the party unity earlier in the formative period of the HRPP.

“ But the party overcame the test of unity with harmony triumphing to reaffirm our spirit of togetherness.”

Along those lines, the Prime Minister said that a new government can only be decided after general elections by successful Members of Parliament.

“It’s not new and for new election candidates and incumbents your foremost concern should be about getting elected first  before worrying about anything else.

“And a far as the election is concerned I can’t see where or how the HRPP will be stopped from returning in the next general elections.”
