A win and a loss for Samoa at Vancouver sevens

Samoa lost its opening game against Fiji at the Vancouver 7s but went on to win their second against Kenya.

Fiji was leading 7-5 at half time before they started executing their free flowing rugby in the second half.

Last week’s DHL Impact Player, Jasa Veremalua was again on form as he scored the first try, produced some impressive offload and  some try assist.

Fiji Village reports the other tries was scored by Jerry Tuwai, Nemani Nagusa, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Emosi Mulevoro and Masivesi Dakuwaqa.

Samoa's try came from Belgium Tuatagaloa. Samoa went on to beat Kenya 26-19 in it's second pool match.

Fiji then went on to thrash Portugal 62-0 and will take on Kenya in the last pool match at 2pm (Fiji Time) today.

The Cup quarterfinals start at 6.08am tomorrow, the semifinals will be at 10.08am tomorrow while the Cup final will be held at 1pm tomorrow.
