New photo of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana released

This resemblance may be her crowning glory.

A new photo of Kristen Stewart portraying Princess Diana in her upcoming film “Spencer” has been released by production.

In the image, 30-year-old Stewart is seen giving a soft smile as she poses in a short blond bob identical to the ‘do of the late Lady Di.

The “Twilight” actress donned a tartan blazer over a cream turtleneck and a sparkling blue ring that looked identical the late royal’s diamond and sapphire engagement ring she received from Prince Charles.

The 12-carat Garrard & Co. engagement ring encircled by 14 diamonds now belongs to Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton and is worth approximately $500,000.

Production for the Pablo Larraín-directed movie has moved to the UK for the final stretch of filming, according to Deadline, after much of the movie was filmed in Germany.

The movie centers around one weekend in December 1991 where Princess Diana spent Christmas with the royal family and subsequently decides she is going to end her marriage to Prince Charles, who will be portrayed by “Poldark” star Jack Farthing.

The film will star Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins and Sean Harris, though their roles have yet to be announced by production.

The first few photos of Stewart dressed as Princess Diana were released in February. She was seen wearing the same ensemble as in the newly released image.

Stewart’s plaid blazer is meant to resemble a Catherine Walker design that Diana wore during a November 1988 visit to the Château de Chenonceau in France.

Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 earning her the title Diana, Princess of Wales. Together they welcomed sons Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, in 1982; and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, in 1984.

The couple eventually divorced in 1996: Prince Charles remarried Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005. Princess Diana was tragically killed in a car accident in 1997 when she was just 36 years old.

The movie is expected to launch in autumn 2021.
