World Supermodel PNG off to Macau – China

World Supermodel PNG is on its way to Macau, China, for the international pageant.

The team of three – National Director Philma Kelegai and two finalists – Sheilla Yama for the adult category and Glenda Sananda leave the country todayThey leave on the 9am flight (local time) and arrive in the Philippines at 1pm this afternoon.

The team overnights there and travel to Macau on May 20.

All finalists from over 60 participating countries to the World Supermodel competition are expected to be in Macau, China (host country) by May 21.

“It still hasn’t sunk it yet. Maybe when we’re in the plane, that’s when I’ll realise this is happening and start freaking,” Kelegai told Loop PNG, over the phone.

“But this is the first so we’re going to deliver our best. We’ve told the girls to leave our Papua New Guinea mentality behind and go be winners,” she added.

Finalists into the international pageant will involve in various activities, including glamour shoots and the international fashion week runway, leading to the crowning in May 27.

Designs by two local designers – Jim Kari and Tetyanah Copeland will be worn onto the international runway.

“It will be really busy but we are excited,” she said.
