Samoa 7s player awaits sentence on assault offences

Samoa rugby sevens player, Siaosi Asofolau, is awaiting sentence after pleading guilty to three charges including assault, armed with a dangerous weapon and throwing objects.

Asofolau appeared in court earlier today.

The police filed charges last month against Asofolau after a complaint was filed as a result of a dispute.

Asofolau appeared in eight of the 10 World Series Sevens tournaments this season, scoring 11 tries.
