Sevu Reece named in the All Blacks squad to the Rugby World Cup

Fiji born winger, Sevu Reece has been included in the All Blacks 31 member squad for the Rugby World Cup.

Reece had an impressive season where he was the leading try scorer in Super Rugby for the Crusaders and also produced a scintillating performance against the Wallabies in the second Bledisloe Cup match.

Coach Steve Hansen has also selected stars such as the Barrett brothers, Beauden, Jordie and Scott, Kieran Read, Aaron Smith, Ben Smith, Tj Perenara, Sam Cane, Dane Coles and Reiko Ioane.

Hansen has also included Brodie Retallick and Ryan Crotty who had suffered injuries earlier in the season.

The biggest omission is 108‑Test prop Owen Franks, who has been overlooked for Atu Moli and Angus Ta'avao.

Liam Squire also missed out on selection but Hansen confirmed at today's announcement that the loose forward had made himself available as a replacement should he be needed‑ not initial selection.

The All Blacks are aiming for their third world title in a row and fourth overall.

They have won the World Cup in 1987, 2011 and 2015.

The All Blacks are pooled with South Africa, Italy, Canada and Namibia.
