4 Samoa Police officers serve in UN mission in Dafur

Four officers of Samoa Police Service have taken up one-year appointments with the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Dafur, Sudan.

Police Commissioner Fuiavailiili Egon Keil and his Executive bid farewell to the officers, which included one female officer Friday.

The officers flew out last weekend.

Peacekeeping deployment is consider vital and it is part of the Samoa’s Government commitment to the United Nations since 1999.

Samoa’s peacekeeping contribution is highly recommended at the International arena given the unique Pacific communal approach its officers has to offer.

The Samoa Police Service has wished its men and women serving in the United Nation all the best as proud flag bearers of our people and our country.
