Digicel launches new music app

Digicel has announced its customers will now be able to download from a catalogue of over 30 million songs with d’Music - a new digital music mobile application.

Digicel Samoa Chief Executive Officer, Farid Mohammed said, “The d’Music app was designed to give our customers access to music right at their fingertips, whenever they want it, wherever they want it. Currently, we have over 30 million songs for our customers to choose from. Once they have an active plan, they can listen to music they choose anywhere on our extensive 4G+ mobile network."

“All our customers who download and log in to the d’Music app this month will receive a free premium trial until 30 September 2018. This is a one-time offer, available to all prepaid and post-paid customers. Once the free premium trial ends, customers can then choose to subscribe to a d’Music plan through the d’Music app, *123# or from My Digicel app.”

“We are always listening to our customers and bringing them services that they value. d’Music is a great example where we are introducing this exciting new platform, including the ability to download and listen off-line, flexibility to build playlists and it’s really affordable. In addition, we’ve made it easier and convenient for customers to subscribe. As you know, with most application subscriptions, you need a credit card, but with d’Music, you can pay for your subscription using your mobile balance.”

“Nowadays, music is a major part of the digital excitement taking place around people. We are excited to bring this music app and amazing experience to our customers,” said Digicel’s newly appointed Regional CEO, Rob Mayo-Smith who was present at the launch.

Digicel brand ambassador and former world boxing heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker was also part of the launch. As part of the activities for the day, all Digicel customers who were around the SNPF Plaza and downloaded the d’music app got a chance to meet Parker, snap a picture and walk away with a signed poster. All registered customers also went into a draw to win d’Music headphones and other spot-prizes throughout the day.

The app is available for both Android and Apple devices and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
