Digicel Play TV decoders, SIM cards and Top Up credit will now be available at Samoa Stationery and Books store, established today with an agreement that was signed by Digicel Samoa CEO, Farid Mohammed and SSAB CEO, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai
This partnership will enable customers to purchase a TV set and a Digicel Play decoder all at once at any of the SSAB stores in Upolu and Savaii. Each purchase of a TV set & Digi play decoder customers will have the option to sign up on a monthly subscription, either the Lite plan for WST$49 or the premium plan for WST$89 which gives them up to 25 Channels.
Digicel Samoa CEO, Farid Mohammed said, “We are delighted to sign this agreement today with SSAB which will see our distributorship increase. We have been running joint promotions with SSAB in the past like Mother’s Day & Christmas promotions. This partnership will further strengthen our relationship and provide more value for money for customers”
There are also plans to extend this partnership to book fairs and book drives where the public donates to the designated stations around the island and in turn these books will be donated to schools and village communities that are in need of reading materials which is expected to improve literacy in the country.
SSAB CEO, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai commented, “We have always promoted SSAB as a one stop shop and I believe this partnership can achieve that purpose to some extent. It will be convenient for customers to buy a mobile phone and also get a Digcel SIM card straightaway. In addition if people buy a TV set they are also given an option to purchase a Digi play decoder which has 25 channels for viewing. This Digi play decoder adds value to SSAB’s products. It enhances customers’ shopping experience at SSAB, so I welcome this partnership with Digicel as it provides more options and value for money for SSAB’s clients. SSAB is also celebrating 10 years anniversary in December and every month they will have a pre-celebration. Digicel is delighted to join in the celebrations and will feature in their fun days at their premises by providing prizes for giveaways and other activities.
