Flooding and landslide is possible for vulnerable areas.
Police are urging people to stay away from low-lying areas and drive safely and slowly on the roads to avoid any accident.
The public is also being encouraged to do shopping for their families needs in case the weather gets worse later on.
The public can also call 22222 for assistance.
According to the Samoa Meteorology Division, a trough of low pressure lies slow moving from the south-west of the country.
A wind advisory is also in effect for Samoa due to gusty north-east winds experienced at times.
