The 25-year old writer with the Samoa Observer was one of seven Pacific women sports journalists who took part in the five-day training conducted by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Apia, Samoa.
“When I heard that I was selected to be part of this training, I was shocked and excited at the same time. I knew from that moment that this will really be a good learning experience especially for us as female sports journalists,” she said.
Fruean is eager to apply all that she has learnt during the training in her daily work.
