MOU with APTC to strengthen Samoa’s skilled workforce

According to the Minister of Police, Prisons & Corrections Services, Faualo Harry Schuster, the partnerships through the MOU between Government institutions and the APTC represent a strong commitment towards the delivery of high-quality, accessible and relevant education and training for people in the workplaces.

“Education and training is a priority area for the Government of Samoa and is fundamental to the development and growth of our country,” he said.

Samoa MAF and Conservation International collaborate to secure a healthy and abundant ocean

The collaboration recognizes the intent of Conservation International and MAF to secure sustainable development and management of coastal marine and fisheries resources, sustain marine biodiversity, increase climate change adaptation and raise general public awareness and stewardship of the ocean.

The MAF emphasized that the partnership with Conservation International provides another opportunity for MAF as one of the relevant government agencies to work with genuine partners who have shared interest in ensuring we manage our ocean in a way that will sustain us.

Samoa and Fiji Airways sign MOU

Under the proposed partnership, Fiji Airways will provide initial support to Samoa Airways to help launch its international services to and from Apia to Auckland and Sydney through the use of its established infrastructure in sales, commercial, operations and maintenance.

“We are happy to play a support role to help reboot Samoa’s international airline following the Samoan Government’s decision to end its partnership with Virgin Australia”, said Fiji Airways’ Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Andre Viljoen.

USP, Massey University renews MOU

The MOU is a fruition of the efforts made by USP’s Faculty of Arts, Law and Education (FALE) under the leadership of the Dean, Dr Akanisi Kedrayate and initiated by the School of Social Sciences under the Social Work Programme.
