Campaign continues after Rabuka found not guilty

Supporters cheered the SODELPA leader, former prime minister and 1987 coup leader Mr Rabuka as he emerged from the Suva Magistrates Court late this morning.

Mr Rabuka was charged by Fiji's Independent Commission Against Corruption under Fiji's political party regulations - for providing a false declaration of his assets, income and liabilities.

If convicted, he would have been out of the running for the 14 November polls.

Samoa 7s player Gordon Langkilde pleads not guilty

The San Francisco Examiner reports Langkilde must remain in the United States while awaiting trial on two counts of battery, one count of assault and one count of misdemeanour.

The charges relate to allegations that the 22 year old Langkilde attacked several Welsh players in the tunnel leading to the changing rooms after Samoa's 24-19 loss to Wales on Sunday in the Challenge quarter finals.

Police later arrested Langkilde at his hotel.

Man pleads not guilty to shooting family who stopped to help

Jesus Deniz of Worland, Wyoming, appeared at a four-minute hearing in Billings federal court. He entered his pleas to two counts of first-degree murder, assault with intent to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

U.S. Marshals then took Deniz, also known as Jesus Deniz Mendoza, back into custody.
