Seven charged over armed heist on Paris filming set

Around twenty hooded thieves attacked the film crew by launching fireworks at them, a Netflix spokesperson said.

They stole more than €300,000 (£250,000; $330,000) worth of equipment during the heist, in broad daylight.

None of the cast or crew who were on set - reported to include the show's star Omar Sy - were injured.

The crew were attacked while they were filming in the Nanterre district, west of central Paris, forcing production to briefly pause.

A preliminary investigation indicates the men were armed when they broke into the home of the victims at Vaitele on Saturday night.

Criminal charges filed against the four men range from murder, attempted murder, burglary and theft, armed with dangerous weapon and assault.

Two of the suspects charged with murder and attempted murder have been remanded in custody until the 28 November 2019 for mention, whilst the other two have also been remanded in custody until 18 November 2019 for court mention.

Five men armed with axes smashed a window at the shop inside the hotel at about 18:00 local time (19:00 GMT), French media report.

Three men have been arrested, police said, while others remain on the run.
