Samoa is England's dress rehearsal for Tonga at Rugby World Cup: Eddie Jones

The England head coach is guarding against complacency - ‘it is always there round the corner, just sitting there next to you’ - by investing the Twickenham contest with World Cup significance.

Jones, who says that he might consider Maro Itoje as a stop-gap openside flanker in place of the concussed Sam Underhill, is well aware that this final game of the autumn might suffer by comparison with the high-octane finale against Australia last weekend, when England posted a record margin of victory over the Wallabies with three tries in the final eight minutes.

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi said last month he had asked the attorney general to look at reintroducing the law, saying it was a Christian move to protect victims who were being defamed.

The statement followed a number of incidents of people being slandered and attacked on social media.

The acting president of the Journalists Association of Samoa, Rudy Bartley, told the Samoa Observer he shared concerns about the misuse of social media.

Hunt for former American Samoa policeman arrested in drugs raid

Mr Tuatoo was arrested in last Thursday's drug raids but an arrest warrant was not ready by the expiration of the 48 hour limit for a suspect to be held without being charged.

It's believed that he was let out Saturday and sometime over the weekend he left the island.

Acting Commissioner Falana'ipupu Sagapolutele hadn't responded to KHJ News but has told a freelance journalist from Samoa that Mr Tuatoo was likely to have left the island.

Aaron Ahkau Matapa Patiole, who was from Australia, was walking with his companion in Upolu when he was struck.

Patiole had been serving in the Samoa Apia Mission since December 2016, according to Eric Hawkins, a spokesman for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sir Clive Woodward picks his England team to face Samoa

England's World Cup-winning coach Woodward says he would make numerous changes to the side that defeated Australia 30-6 at Twickenham- mainly in the pack - starting with a whole new front row in Ellis Genge, Jamie George and Harry Williams.

In discussing the loose trio and second row, Woodward feels that continuity is key, as is giving the bench from the Wallabies game time on the park. In moving Courtney Lawes to the blindside flank it would allow Maro Itoje to come in at lock alongside Joe Launchbury.

Romania defeat Samoa

The previous and only victory against the Samoan took place in Bucharest in October 1989.

The match played at the Arc de Triomphe stadium in Bucharest had two completely discrete parts: in the first Manu Samoa dominated totally, and after the break the Stejarii returned to strength, as they did two years ago at the World Cup in front of Canada when they were remounted from 0 to 15 to 17 to 15.

A worker was killed last year in an explosion at one of the diesel fuel storage tanks on Matautu-tai wharf.

Tuilaepa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi said the Fire and Emergency Service Amendment Bill 2017 was tabled in parliament this week after an investigation into the incident.

He said there were previously no safe guards to prohibit anyone from doing welding work on the tanks which threatened the safety of Apia.
