The previous joint venture deal ends Friday 12 February 2016.
A Cabinet statement said Samoa’s deliberations and preparations for a new agreement is on-going and is also eyeing new agreements with other airlines like Qantas.
The Samoan government has been openly unhappy with the joint venture after Virgin Airlines went into partnership with Air New Zealand.
The Government has resurrected the national carrier Polynesian Airlines that has been negotiating with Solomon Air and others to have flights between Samoa, New Zealand and Australia and other markets.
