PCF appoints new CEO

Pacific Cooperation Foundation (PCF) has appointed Craig Strong as its new Chief Executive Officer.

For the past 11 years Strong has been based in Suva, Fiji where he has held general management positions of significant Fijian trading companies, most recently as General Manager of Pacific Agencies (Fiji) Limited.

He will return to New Zealand to take up the role at PCF in or about November this year.

Strong was born and raised in Suva, educated at Kings College, Auckland and Massey University in Palmerston North, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Studies.

PCF Chair Peter Kiely says the Board was pleased with the quality of the high number of applicants for the role but it was particularly impressed with Strong's regional experience and knowledge.

"Craig is the current President of the Fiji NZ Business Council and sits on the Board of the Fiji Australia Business Council, the Fiji PNG Business Council and chairs the Board of the Fiji Export Council and has good familiarity with the region."

The new CEO will brings a strong record of Board governance in the commercial, government and not for profit organisations which currently includes the Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation.

"We are all looking forward to being enriched by his extensive regional experience and willingness to participate and help other partners and stakeholders both in New Zealand and the region," the Chair adds.
