Ellyse Perry marries Wallabies star after hitting winning runs

Multi-sport superstar Ellyse Perry and Wallabies young-gun Matt Toomua have tied the knot in a low-key wedding ceremony in Sydney.

Perry, who has represented Australia in both football and cricket for several years, broke the news of their weekend nuptials via her Instagram account on Tuesday.

Perry, 25, is no stranger to juggling her commitments but last weekend was particularly busy, even by her standards.

The Sydney Sixers captain hit the winning runs against the Perth Scorchers in the Women's Big Bash League before swapping Magenta for a white dress.

One of Australia's most powerful sporting couples have been dating since 2012 after a chance meeting at Sydney airport.

They will relocate to England at the end of 2016 when Toomua takes up a contract with English rugby club Leicester Tigers.

Perry still plans to continue both her cricket and football careers for Australia despite agreeing to move to the United Kingdom.
