Michael Jackson was born on Aug. 29, 1958, and family, friends and artists who have been inspired by the late King of Pop have been remembering him on the date that would have marked his 57th birthday.
Jackson’s siblings Jermaine and La Toya both tweeted in honor of their brother, with Jermaine simply saying, “Hold close the memories” and La Toya noting, “Your presence elevated everyone! Your music brought us joy! Your gift will be with us always!”
His brother Tito wished him a happy birthday on Facebook, alongside a childhood photo of the pair.
Jackson, who died on June 25, 2009, also received a flood of messages and photo tributes from fellow musicians and celebrities, including Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Pharrell, Chris Brown, Shawn Mendes and more.
