Samoa PM recovering well, hopes to be back home end of month

Samoa Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mata’afa is recovering well in New Zealand according to the Acting Prime Minister Tuala Tevaga Iosefo Ponifaso.

“If all goes well, and our Lord permits, she hopes to return to Samoa at the end of the month,” the Acting PM said.

Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Prime Minister and Cabinet had earlier said Fiame flew to Auckland on January 8 for unknown medical reasons.

Agafili said it was just overdue checkups and the PM is getting all her checks done while in New Zealand.
