Boxing rematch

Joshua taking tips from old foe Klitschko ahead of Ruiz rematch

Mexican-American Ruiz produced one of boxing's biggest upsets when he dethroned the previously undefeated world champion Joshua with a seventh-round stoppage at New York's Madison Square Garden in June.

Klitschko was defeated by Joshua in 2017 at Wembley Stadium with a technical knockout and the two boxers have stayed in touch even after the Ukrainian retired later that year at the age of 41.

"He said loads of stuff to me, Wlad was definitely ahead of the game. He's more disciplined than me, he's more diplomatic," Joshua told British media.

Pacquiao-Horn rematch looms

A list of referees and judges will also be submitted with both camps agreeing on who to use, Arum said on Thursday.

Arum said the parties in Australia were eyeing a November date at the same Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane where Horn beat Pacquiao in controversial circumstances last month.

A temporary cover would be constructed at the outdoor arena to cover the ring and the first 10 rows of spectators, a precaution in case of rain, he said.

"Manny's on board, Horn's on board," Top Rank Promoter Arum said.

Klitschko wants rematch with Fury

Fury beat the Ukrainian in Germany at the weekend to take the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.

The contract for the fight included a clause for a rematch, for which the date and the venue have to be decided.

"Failure is not an option," said 39 year old Klitschko on his prospects of winning back his titles.
