Amor and Ryles leave roles in Jones' England rugby coaching team

Amor and the RFU have mutually decided to part company, while Ryles has decided to stay in Australia with his family due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After winning the Six Nations and Autumn Nations Cup in 2020, England have suffered a severe slump in form in recent months and finished fifth in the Six Nations, which led to an in-depth RFU review.

The review was completed last month with the RFU standing by Jones, who has a contract through to the 2023 World Cup in France.

Warburton joins Wales coaching team

Warburton, who announced his injury-enforced retirement at the age of 29 last July, will serve as a technical advisor for the breakdown and defence on a campaign-to-campaign basis.

His appointment was confirmed on Friday, along with that of Byron Hayward, who will return to the WRU as defence coach.

"I'm delighted to be part of the senior national coaching team," said Warburton, who also skippered the British and Irish Lions during his illustrious playing career, in a WRU statement.

Cronk joins Roosters coach staff to help halves

The back-to-back premiers announced Cronk has signed on to be a part-time specialist halves coach and will work with every playmaker coming through Roosters system next year.

Cronk, 35, retired following the NRL grand final after a third consecutive premiership with the Roosters and Storm.

The Tricolours have signed former Cronulla playmaker Kyle Flanagan as a replacement for the two-time Dally M medallist.

He's likely to partner premiership-winner Luke Keary in the halves with Lachlan Lam another option for Roosters coach Trent Robinson.

Reds bolster coaching, front row

The pair have proven to be a dynamic duo in the last two years, steering Queensland's U20s to consecutive undefeated, title winning seasons before taking the reins at Queensland Country and working wonders there.

Thorn has regularly credited Carozza as an integral part of his rise to the head coaching ranks and the Reds announced Thorn's right hand man as one of two assistant coaches in their squad drop on Wednesday.
