Israel ambassador presents credentials to Samoa

Ambassador Yaakoby is based at the embassy in Wellington, New Zealand.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Samoa and Israel in 1977, both countries have continued to maintain cordial relations.

As highlighted in the remarks delivered by the Member of the Council of Deputies and the Ambassador of Israel during the Credential ceremony, Samoa continues to benefit from the MASHAV development cooperation program of Israel through capacity building and training opportunities in the fields of health, agriculture and education.

New Czech diplomat presents credentials to Samoa Head of State

Ambassador Dub presented his Letter of Credence to Samoa’s Head of State, Tuimalealiifano Vaaletoa Sualauvi II recently.

The new Czech Republic Ambassador is accredited to Samoa with residence in Canberra, Australia.

Samoa and the Czech Republic established diplomatic relations on the 12th December, 1995.

USP’s Postgraduate qualification to strengthen diplomatic career

Solomon Islands High Commissioner to Fiji, His Excellency Mr Patteson Oti is pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Diplomacy and International Affairs through the University’s School of Government, Development and International Affairs (SGDIA).

Mr Oti said that one should never stop learning and this is what drove him to continue his education at the University.

Graduating from USP in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History/Politics and Public Administration, Mr Oti decided to take this course to strengthen his career in diplomacy.
