Drug Test

Highway Patrol officers stopped the 32-year-old in his BMW X5 on the Hume Highway at Braemar about 1.30pm (3.30pm NZT) on Monday.

NSW Police say the former South Sydney Rabbitohs player was subjected to a random roadside drug test and was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where a second oral fluid test was carried out.

The sample from the second test was sent away for further analysis, police said.

Burgess is due to face Moss Vale Local Court on May 4 on charges of driving a vehicle without a licence. Police further allege the vehicle is unregistered.

Parker was listed as one of five fighters to miss a test this year as part of the WBC's Clean Boxing Program administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association.

Parker's promoter, Duco Events, confirmed the WBO world heavyweight champion missed the test after his win over Romanian Razvan Cojanu in May because of an extended holiday.

"Joseph extended his holiday following the Cojanu bout on May 6 and didn't update the Vada system of his change of plans.

Four days after Stuff broke news that Tuipulotu failed a test for a specified substance last November while touring with the All Blacks, results of the 24-year-old's second B sample came back negative.   

That cleared Tuipulotu, who faced a potential two-year ban, to return to training immediately with the Blues, but left several unanswered questions about the discrepancy in his two samples, which were tested nine weeks apart.
