Junior Paulo

Junior Paulo next NRL star to commit to Samoa for World Cup

His commitment comes just a week after Canberra Raiders and Queensland forward Josh Papali’i declared his allegiance to the Pacific nation.

Paulo, 28, has played nine Tests for Samoa. He was a member of the squad for the 2017 World Cup Down Under. The New South Wales star has never represented Australia, but was considered a near certainty in Mal Meninga’s squad if he had chosen to represent the Kangaroos.

He did represent Australia as a junior.

Eels' Paulo out of Knights clash

Paulo is likely to have played his final game for the Eels as his management and the club work through negotiating a mid-year move to the Raiders.

Arthur also admitted for the first time that the club's ongoing dramas have taken a toll on the Eels, who haven't won a game since being handed a salary cap breach notice by the NRL three weeks ago.

NRL trio consorting with criminals does not look good

A photo posted by Paulo on his Instagram account allegedly showed the trio dining with former senior Nomad boss Paulie Younan and accused fraudster and money launderer Rafat Alameddine last Friday night, according to Fairfax Media.

Parramatta duo Norman and Paulo, along with fellow NRL player Segeyaro, were issued with official warnings by NSW Police.

"Organised Crime Squad detectives have issued consorting warnings to three current NRL players under section 93x of the Crimes Act 1900," NSW Police said in a statement.
