King Charles Coronation

The event was held at Sails Restaurant & Bar, and was attended by Afioga i le Ao Mamalu o le Mālō Tuimaleali'ifano Va'aletoa Suālauvī II and Masiofo, Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa, Members of Cabinet, the United Kingdom's High Commissioner to Samoa David Ward, and members of the diplomatic corps.     

Thousands packed the Mall despite the rain, after a deeply religious Coronation service at Westminster Abbey and a huge procession through London.

The King and Queen waved from the Palace balcony as the RAF Red Arrows painted the sky red, white and blue.

But the BBC understands Prince Harry was not invited to join them.

Reuters reports Charles will be crowned in a ceremony that dates back 1000 years, surrounded by foreign heads of state and dignitaries. But the participation of his younger son had been in doubt after the 38-year-old heavily criticised his family in a book and documentary series.

The King has personally chosen the music for the ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 6 May.

Lord Lloyd-Webber said he wanted his new coronation anthem to reflect a "joyful occasion".

A gospel choir will sing and there will be Greek Orthodox music in memory of the King's father, Prince Philip.

The music will have a traditional tone with pieces from classical composers such as William Byrd, George Handel and Sir Edward Elgar.

But there has been a coronation theme of combining the modern with the ancient - and new music has been commissioned.
