Madonna's Celebration Tour: Greatest hits show to feature more than 40 songs

In an exclusive interview, Stuart Price told the BBC the show draws on four decades of archive footage and studio recordings to tell the star's story.

"A greatest hit doesn't have to be a song," he said. "It can be a wardrobe, it can be a video, or a statement."

He added that Madonna was back to full strength after a summer health scare.

The superstar was found unconscious in her New York apartment in June and rushed to hospital, where she received treatment for a serious bacterial infection.

Madonna announces rescheduled dates for her Celebration tour

The Celebration tour will now kick off in London on 14 October, three months after it was originally due to begin in Vancouver, Canada.

Most of the US dates have been pushed back to 2024, with some cancellations.

The tour was originally planned to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Madonna's breakout single, Holiday.

Dubbed the Celebration Tour, it marks her return to arenas and stadiums after the experimental, theatre-based Madame X shows in 2019 and 2020.

Madonna to direct film of her own life story

The star is also co-writing the movie with Diablo Cody, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Juno and Young Adult.

The script is expected to chart her rise from the slums of New York to global superstardom, via songs such as Like A Virgin and Vogue.

The star said the film would focus on music, adding: "Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive."

The as-yet-untitled project will be Madonna's third as director after 2008's Filth and Wisdom and 2011's WE, which was based around King Edward VIII's affair with Wallis Simpson.

Madonna's Instagram account flagged for spreading misinformation

In her post, the singer claimed a vaccine for COVID-19 had already been found, but was being hidden to "let the rich get richer".

Instagram blurred out the video with a caption saying: "False Information".

It also directed users to a page debunking the claims in the video, noting there is no coronavirus vaccine.

The video was later deleted from Madonna's Instagram page, but not before fans protested at her decision to share the post.

And Pearl Jam have postponed their US and Canada tour, saying the risk "is simply too high for our comfort level".

The singer was performing her Madame X show when the lights and sound were switched off and the curtain closed as she went past her 23:00 GMT deadline.

Madonna sued by fan for being late to her own shows

Nate Hollander has filed a class-action lawsuit against the 'Queen of Pop' for rescheduling her upcoming December 17 concert in Miami Beach from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm.

The rescheduling is to accommodate the singer being late to her shows on her new tour, which kicked off in September.

TMZ reports that according to the suit 'Madonna has not been punctual on tour, often taking stage two hours later than scheduled'.

The suit claims this as the reason for the rescheduling.

Madonna's Eurovision performance gets mixed reviews

The star sported a black cape and eyepatch during her performance of 1989 hit Like A Prayer and new single Future, featuring US rapper Quavo.

Madonna defied calls from activists to cancel her appearance in Tel Aviv.

But organisers said the inclusion of Israeli and Palestinian flags in the show was not approved in advance.

Two of her dancers - each wearing a respective flag - walked arm in arm.
