Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson reportedly joins Rush Hour 4

Since appearing in comedy films like Crocodile Dundee In Los Angeles and The Hangover, Tyson – a former boxer and convicted rapist – has steadily built up a portfolio of work in action films – so far he has gone fist to fist with Donnie Yen in Ip Man 3, Steven Seagal in China Salesman and Alain Moussi in Kickboxer: Retaliation.

Chan revealed the news whilst speaking at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia. Tyson also mentioned the film on his podcast Hot Boxin’ With Mike.

Mike Tyson's return to boxing generated more than $US80 million in revenue

His exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr on November 28 sold more than 1.6 million pay-per-view buys – priced at US$49.49 (NZ$71) apiece – according to Tyson's Legends Only League.

The 1.6 million pay-per-view buys ranks the fight among the top 10 combat sports events.

The Legends Only League, which served as an event promoter, cited pay-per-view numbers provided by Triller, which distributed the fight.

Michael Goldberg, a spokesman for Triller, said the company would say only that the fight ranked in the top 10 all-time for pay-per-view buys.

Legends Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr fight to a draw in eight-round exhibition

Both fighters had impressive moments during a fight that was unofficially ruled a draw by the WBC judges at ringside. Tyson and Jones fought eight two-minute rounds, and both emerged smiling and apparently healthy from a highly unusual event at Staples Center.

"This is better than fighting for championships," Tyson said of the heavyweight exhibition, which raised money for various charities. "We're humanitarians now. We can do something good for the world. We've got to do this again."

Mike Tyson weighs in at lightest for 23 years ahead of Roy Jones Jr fight

Jones scaled 210lb - the heaviest of his career - before Tyson weighed 220lb, the lightest he has been since he took a chunk out of Evander Holyfield's ear in their 1997 rematch.

Jones' previous heaviest was 204lb for his clash with Eric Watkins in 2015 having moved through the weights from middleweight to heavyweight as a professional.

After weighing in, he said cryptically: "I can't tell you how to do it, it's probably going to look wrong. If I try to tell you it's probably going to sound wrong. But it's going to turn out right, trust me."

Motivated Mike Tyson loses 45kg for comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr

The 54-year-old former heavyweight boxing champion stripped off his shirt on the national TV show Good Morning America to prove his point on Tuesday.

"This is where it’s at, man! This is where it's at. This is where it’s at, brother!" Tyson told host TJ Holmes, as he revealed his chest.

Tyson takes on Jones in an exhibition fight in California on Sunday (NZT) and said he didn't lack motivation to get back into fighting shape with plenty of encouragement from home.

Briggs confirms fight with Tyson

Former undisputed champion, Tyson has been back in training for some time working towards a return to the ring in a charity bout.

53 year old Tyson had been offered a million dollars to fight a former rugby league player in Australia, with Sonny Bill Williams one of those mentioned.

Evander Holyfield was reportedly also interested, but it appears two time world champion Briggs has landed a deal.

48 year old Briggs made this announcement on Instagram. "I just talked to Mike Tyson, it's going down, me and Mike. We're going to make it happen, it's official."

Mike Tyson says he's back

The 53-year-old caught the attention of the boxing world last week when he posted a short video of a workout that showed he possesses plenty of the punching power and speed that allowed him to become the first heavyweight to hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles.

Tyson said then that he was considering a return to the ring for some exhibition bouts to raise money for charity.

The newest video showed Tyson growling through a workout hitting the pads in yet another display of the ferocious power that made him one of the sport's most feared punchers.

Tyson dismisses Sonny Bill Williams fight – report

Tyson, 53, had been offered $3 million to fight Williams but the Daily Mail says Tyson was unimpressed when promoters floated the idea, saying if he got back into the ring it would be with a real boxer not a rugby player.

Tyson's management had been negotiating with Australian promoters to take part in a multi-million dollar charity bout in Melbourne next year.

Williams, who has had seven fights as a professional for seven wins has said he was willing to get into the ring with Tyson despite his limited boxing experience.

Mike Tyson's million-dollar offer to face Sonny Bill Williams in charity bout

Last month, boxing icon Tyson revealed his ambitions to return to the ring for charity fights and social media videos reveal he still possesses his legendary punching power.

The 53-year-old has been training with renowned mixed martial arts coach Rafael Cordeiro, who's convinced Tyson could fight again.

Australian boxing promoter Brian Amatruda has told the Daily Mail that he's contacted celebrity agent Max Markson with a view to bringing Tyson to Australia.

Tyson : McGregor is going to get killed fighting Mayweather

UFC champion McGregor will step out of the octagon and into the ring to fight unbeaten boxer Mayweather in Las Vegas on August 26.

Many have weighed in on who will win the hyped fight and now Tyson has voiced his opinion as Mayweather puts his perfect 49-0 record on the line against the unproven Irishman.

"McGregor is going to get killed boxing," Tyson told Barstool Sports on Monday. "Boxing? I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that's what it's all about: Can the boxer beat the MMA guy?"
