Fittler confirmed as new Blues coach

Fittler was announced as Laurie Daley’s successor in Sydney on Friday morning with a two-year deal, beating former South Sydney premiership-winning coach Michael Maguire to the position.

The Blues have lost 11 of the past 12 Origin series.

Blues hit the ground running

The camp is the team's first away from Coffs Harbour since 2013, with the initial switch to Coffs coinciding with a drought-breaking series win.

The first session saw Dugan running around during attacking and defensive drills a little under three weeks after suffering a fractured cheekbone in a head-clash with Dragons teammate Russell Packer in the May 5 Anzac Test.

Origin greats back Cordner to lead the Blues

Cordner was recently named Roosters co-captain along with last year's skipper Jake Friend, and it hasn't taken long for his name to be thrown into the ring to take over from Gallen at State of Origin level as well.

NSW Blues side named for Origin I

Five debutants have been named, with Tyson Frizell, Josh Mansour, Matt Moylan, Adam Reynolds and Dylan Walker to have their first taste of State of Origin football if selected in the final side.

Panthers forward Bryce Cartwright was initially added to the squad a development player, but was subsequently removed from the squad due to a thumb injury. An announcement is yet to be made regarding his replacement.

Coach Laurie Daley is yet to finalise his starting line-up and final 17, with the extended squad selected below.
