The Liar Liar actor was reacting to a report that came after the release of Robin, a recently published biography about Williams written by New York Times journalist Dave Itzkoff.
In one passage in the book about Williams' apparent jealousy of Carrey, Itzkoff claimed Williams was upset at learning the Dumb and Dumber star had landed the role of The Riddler in 1995 film Batman Forever - a part he had earlier turned down.
