Same-sex marriage not a priority for Samoa Fa'afafine Association

Tuilaepa said as long as Samoa remained a Christian country it would not allow what he referred to as Sodom and Gomorrah practices.

Tuilaepa is a patron of the Fa'fafine Association and Mr Baice said while some individuals may be passionate about marriage equality, the group had other priorities.

Last week's Samoa Fa'afafine Week saw a continued focus by Samoa's so-called third gender on advocating for equal rights.

Samoa's Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi told a forum during the week that all people are the same in the eyes of God, but Mr Sua says much that fa'afafine face is mired in post-colonial mindsets.
