Trans-Tasman bubble touted for business confidence boost

The final reading of the ANZ Bank's monthly survey for April showed pessimism evident in a preliminary survey eased, with a net 2 percent believing the broad economic outlook would get worse over the coming year from 8 percent at the start of the month.

The more closely followed 'own-activity' measure improved to its best level in more than three years to a net 22 percent expecting better times for their own businesses.

Auckland Airport 'ready' with separate zone in terminal

The airport has made plans to segregate at-risk and no-risk travellers - dividing the international terminal into two self-contained processing zones.

Zone A, a safe travel area, will be used exclusively for quarantine-free arrivals and all departures.

Zone B, the health management area, will be used for processing arrivals who are going on to managed isolation facilities.

Auckland Airport chief executive Adrian Littlewood toldĀ Morning ReportĀ that planning started in August 2020 and its price tag is in the millions.
