His debut collection 'Masiofo' which is Samoan for 'queen' and uses royal tapa cloth landed him on Vogue Italia's website.

"I was on holidays when they sent me the link I kept refreshing it... then it hit me I was like 'wow'," he said.

Mr Blanc started his fashion career in New Zealand as a stylist and made the move to Brisbane, Australia in 2012 but found the industry across the Tasman was harder to crack.

"It didn't really work out so I took myself away from the industry... and two years ago I thought let's get back into it," he said.

A series of claims were made against the pair in a New York Times article.

Weber denies the claims, while lawyers for Testino said his accusers "cannot be considered reliable sources".

Vogue publisher Conde Nast said it would not work with the men "for the foreseeable future".

Artistic director Anna Wintour, who is also Vogue's editor-in-chief, said in a statement that the claims had "been hard to hear and heartbreaking to confront".

Vogue India has been blasted online for its decision to feature Jenner, a white American, instead of an Indian model on the cover of its 10th anniversary issue.

Many people have said it's yet another example of a missed opportunity to celebrate women of color.

Vogue India released a statement Friday offering a "few clarifications" about the cover.

"In the last 10 years, Vogue India has had only 12 international covers, including Kendall Jenner, in 2017," the statement said. "Therefore, statistically, 90 percent of our covers are Indian! And we are proud of that."

The photographs, shot by Mario Testino, show Nyong'o dancing with fellow Luo women in western Kenya and walking through Lake Victoria's Dunga Beach.

"Being able to use my platform to expand and diversify the African voice," was "meaningful" Nyong'o told Vogue. "I feel very passionate about that" she said.

The New York Times has pointed out that the Grammy winner's latest magazine spread, for Vogue's coveted September issue, is without any word from the singer herself.

Considering the fact that the fashion bible generally offers up lengthy, juicy sit-downs with their cover stars, it's a bit of a mystery as to why the reigning queen of pop chose to remain silent.

And yet, here we are scratching our heads over something that she very clearly orchestrated from the get-go.
