Partners support key to Digicel’s success

Digicel Samoa has acknowledged the tremendous support of its partners for their hard work that has helped establish what is Samoa’s leading telecommunications provider.

Head of Corporate Services Toalepai Waikato Fatu says the success of the company is from its partners. These partners having been the support of the country and the business owners.

Today, these businesses were rewarded by Digicel.

“We have noticed the growth of the company since 2006 and in October last year we felt we needed to see who has been doing the most work in Samoa that has really helped with our development,” said Toalepai.

“From October to December last year, we have rallied up these 30 stores who have performed very well and we are rewarding them today,” he added.

From more than 150 shops in Samoa who sell Digicel credits, the 30 chosen were the ones who performed consistently and exceedingly well.

Their mark was whoever sold 200 tala or more worth of credit in a week would be eligible.

This was a good start for the new appointed Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Samoa, Milos Surla.

“What a way to start off the year for me and my new work. I’m excited that we get to have this in the beginning of the year and hope we get to work together further to help not just Digicel, but make communications better for Samoa,” Mr Surla said.

Toalepai says Mr. Surla’s appointment as the new CEO is a blessing for the Digicel family in Samoa, and they expect great success in the coming years of his leadership.
