Samoa Airways operates extra flights during festive season

Samoa Airways has operated a number of extra flights to meet strong demand for travel in the lead-up to Christmas.

According to CEO Tupuivao Seiuli Alvin Tuala, ‘demand for travel to Samoa during this time of the year is traditionally very strong and in response, the national carrier has operated a number of additional services.

Seiuli added that, ‘Christmas is about family and we are thrilled to have played a key role in uniting loved ones this Festive Season’.

In addition to daily flights from Auckland, the National Carrier has operated five extra flights from the City of Sails, as well as one extra service from Sydney (in addition to its two-weekly flights), and two charter flights from Brisbane.

Demand on the Pago Pago-Fagalii route, where the Airline’s fleet of Twin-Otter aircraft operate up to 18 flights daily, has also been very strong.

Samoa Airways is reminding customers to allow sufficient time to check-in and prepare for departure.
