Samoa, Poland discuss tourism promotion for Polish market

There are plans to step up efforts to promote Samoa as a favourable tourist destination in the northern hemisphere including Poland.

A delegation led by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland to Samoa, Boguslaw Nowak met with Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Tourism Authority, Papali’i Matatamali’i Sonja Hunter in Apia last week.

There were talks on tourism related activities in Samoa that would suit visitor interests of the travelling Polish population who according to the Polish delegation, are into water sports and outdoor activities.

Mr Nowak has been to Samoa a few times before, and is most especially interested in bringing in more visitors from Poland to Samoa.

He recommends Samoa as a very suitable destination for his people and is keen to work with the Government of Samoa and enhance links between the two countries.

Papali’i was delighted to meet Mr Novak and thanked him and his delegation for the interest in partnering with Samoa, as STA and its established counterparts in the UK continue to market Samoa in the northern hemisphere including Poland.

The Government of Samoa and the Republic of Poland will soon finalise a Honorary Consul for Poland in Samoa and also a Honorary Consul of Samoa in Poland.
