Ambulance service for Samoa’s district hospitals boosted

Seven new ambulance vehicles donated by the Government of Japan at the cost of one million, two hundred and twenty-five thousand Tala will greatly boost Samoa’s health system mainly in district hospitals.

Previously district hospitals in the rural areas had to rely on ambulances from the main hospital in Motootua.

The new ambulances have been allocated to Safotu Hospital, Satupaitea Hospital, Malietoa Tanumafili II Hospital, Poutasi Hospital, Lalomanu Hospital, Foailalo Hospital and the TTM hospital in Motootua.
