ANZ Stadium naming rights sponsorship extended for another five years

ANZ CEO Pacific and Fiji, Vishnu Mohan, officially announced the five-year renewal of ANZ Stadium’s naming rights at the stadium today with the Chairman of the Fiji Sports Council, Peter Mazey and CEO of the Fiji Sports Council Litiana Loabuka.

“Fiji has a long and distinguished sporting history and we all know how important sport is to all Fijians and Pacific Islanders. This was clearly evident with some amazing results recorded at last month’s 2015 Pacific Games,” Mohan said.  

“This year on a global front, ANZ is proud to sponsor key sporting events including the Australian Open and Shanghai Masters tennis tournaments, the 2015 Netball World Cup and many more across our 34 markets.”

Mohan added: “Our commitment today is about providing opportunities for Fijians to grow through sports and bring about positive social change. This will be the ultimate return on our investment.”

Fiji Sports Council’s Board Chairman, Mr Peter Mazey said: “The ANZ Stadium has proven that it can host international games. We received great reviews from our overseas counterparts who are now strong advocates for the ANZ Stadium as a state of the art facility. We look forward to hosting more international events throughout ANZ’s sponsorship, for which we are very grateful.”

CEO Fiji Sports Council, Litiana Loabuka says ANZ’s means the facility can offer its patrons world-class events.

“An investment of this extent is indeed a sign of ANZ’s confidence in continuing sporting commitment.  We are proud to be the facility managers of the ANZ Stadium,”  Loabuka said.
