Church polishes its role at prayer conference

An organisation called One in Christ has officially opened its second annual prayer conference that will be held next week.

The organisation consisting of some of the most popular preachers and bible professors has stepped up its push for more time to spend in prayer.

Members of parliament were present at the official opening, where Faumuina Tiatia Liuga, a member of the Nazareth Church spoke on behalf of the Prime Minister to officially open the week of prayer.

"This is the role of you pastors, don’t just stop at being saved, teach and save another life," said Faumuina in his address.

"Prayer is a very important tool in leading and ensuring honesty in any organisation," he added.

He did not forget to link the importance of how prayer from these church leaders is guiding Samoa's decision makers for a better development.

He expressed the government’s thanks to One in Christ for the push and the initiative, especially with all the prayers that have guided the Government in the past years.

This week the conference will be held with morning sessions starting at 10 where prayers will be the focus.

And at night time a session where God's word will be spoken through prophetic preachers some of whom are the best in the country.

Tonight reverend Fiti Aloalii of the Congregational Chruch of Jesus in Samoa will be the main speaker for the event.
