Fiji Warriors wary of Samoa A

Despite winning its game against Samoa A last year at the ANZ Stadium in Suva, the Fiji Warriors is still wary of the Samoans.

The Telecom Fiji-sponsored second stream team will tomorrow face the Samoans in their first match of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge.

Head Coach Seruvakula said they had seen the Samoans who were bigger in size compared with the Fiji Warriors.

"We're expecting a tough encounter against the Samoan's because they have big players compared with us," Seruvakula said.

Seruvakula said they watched Samoa's in its game against the Rebels but would do their best to follow their game plan on taking down the Samoans.

"We will only have a captain's run on Monday (today) before the game on Tuesday, trying to give the players the rest they need before the game because the Samoans will be tough," Seruvakula said.

Fiji will face Samoa tomorrow at 6pm after the game between Junior Japan and Tonga A.

The Warriors will be led by Flying Fijians forward Peni Ravai who will be assisted by Johnny Dyer, and the two scrum halves —— Henry Seniloli and Serupepeli Vularika. The Warriors are keeping their fingers crossed that it would grab this challenge trophy as the Pampas XV which won the tournament last year won't play this year. A new winner will be crowned on March 21.
