Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch on the market for $146 million

The Peter Pan-inspired home of superstar Michael Jackson is for sale for anyone with a spare US$100 million .

Neverland is situated in the Santa Ynez Valley, about 200km from Hollywood.

Jackson bought the 1000-hectare ranch in 1987 for US$19.5 million and added a private amusement park featuring rollercoaster, merry-go-round, ferris wheel and live animals.

The property was also the focus of Jackson's child molestation allegations but that didn't stop investment company Colony Capital buying Neverland for US$19.5 million following Jackson's death. It was then renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch.

Don't expect to rock up for an "open for inspection".

All potential owners are being screened and negotiated with privately.
