PM impressed with businessman’s entrepreneurial skills

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has commended a young entrepreneur for his unique take on Samoa’s local food scene and hospitality.

Tuilaepa recently accepted an invitation by Home Café's owner Horace Evans to  visit his restaurant at Malifa.

Operating on a recycling ethos of re-using and re-purposing everyday items, Evans impressed the Prime Minister with his entrepreneurial efforts and unique take on hospitality in Samoa.

"It's good to see young, small-business owners such as Horace find their niche and be successful at it.
This is a unique take on our local food-scene, with the interesting use of recycled materials and with a sense of preserving our environment," said Tuilaepa.

Evans said he invited the Prime Minister so he could share his journey of starting a business without spending big on new materials or fixtures.

"The only new items I bought to start this were the nails. Everything else was recycled."

Evans said he was honoured to have the Prime Minister accept his invitation.

"It's great to have him here and have his support."
