Primary school in Samoa receives donation from Australia

Moamoa and Tauaoo Primary School in Faleasiu is the latest beneficiary of Australia's Direct Aid Program.

Acting High Commissioner Rosemary Mckay presented 300 desks and chairs valued at SAT$45,000 to the school during a ceremony recently.

She said Australia aligns its aid with priorities identified in Samoa's Strategy for Development such as education.

Minister of Health Honorable Leao Dr Tuitama Talelei Tuitama thanked the Australian Government and people for its support.

The Direct Aid Program is part of Australia's wider support to the education sector.
