Joseph Parker's next fight confirmed

The New Zealand heavyweight will take on the France-based Cameroon boxer at Manukau's Vodafone Events Centre on May 21.

NZ Herald reports undefeated Parker, 24, who has fought 18 times as a professional, is said to be in top physical shape already after his short holiday in New Zealand in January which followed his knockout victory over Jason Bergman in Samoa.

With the IBF last week ordering the fight to find a mandatory challenger for the winner of next month's title fight between champion Charles Martin (US) and Anthony Joshua (GB), the promoters have busied themselves with trying to sort through details of where, when and how.

The fight will earn the winner the No 1 mandatory challenger position with the IBF and in line to fight the winner of the looming Charles Martin versus Anthony Joshua title fight.

Takam is a Cameroon-born, French-based fighter with a professional record of 33 wins (25 KOs), two losses (1 KO) and a draw.
