According to a post by the Australia High Commission in Apia, the aircraft will depart late on Sunday 29 March and arrive early on Monday 30 March 2020.

“To reserve, please email apia.admin@dfat.gov.au and provide full name, date of birth, passport details, gender and contact phone and email for all passengers, by midnight tonight, 27 March. We will phone you early on Saturday 28 March to confirm your interest.”

If passengers are symptomatic or unable to present a credible self-isolation plan, they will be placed in managed isolation at an approved facility.

The New Zealand borders are closed to incoming transit passengers. Immigration New Zealand will not allow uplift for any passenger who are scheduled to enter the New Zealand transit area after 0200 Thursday 26 March NZT.

According to the Ministry of Health, 25 samples were tested for COVID-19 and of that amount, 16 returned negative.

The results for the remaining 9 samples are pending.

The ministry says samples of four samples were sent to New Zealand on 24 March and another five samples are awaiting transport.

These tests were done for people with fever and flu-like symptoms with a recent travel in the past 14 days overseas, reported through active surveillance.

The goal is to help health chiefs model the consequences of moving resources to best tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

Three US tech firms are aiding the effort - Amazon, Microsoft and Palantir - as well as London-based Faculty AI.

The plan is expected to be signed off by Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

"Every hospital is going to be thinking: Have we got enough ventilators? Well we need to keep ours because who knows what's going to happen - and that might not be the optimal allocation of ventilators," explained a source in one of the tech companies involved.

The French High Commission said inmates would instead be allotted phone time to communicate with their friends and families.

The High Commission said some inmates might be released early, but that would not be considered if the individual was a risk to the public.

Lou Leon Guerrero says a total of eight people tested positive on Thursday.

Governor Guerrero says as well as those 45, there are four additional cases from the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

The aircraft carrier has docked in Guam, after reports of sailors testing positive for Covid-19.

There are 5000 sailors onboard, though no one will be allowed to leave the vessel.

The government said one of them is in hospital.

According to a visiting WHO official, the infections are all in Tahiti and Moorea.

There are no reports of suspected cases in the outer islands but a number of students arriving in Rangiroa from Tahiti last week were isolation with symptoms of the illness.

The Swiss tourist who fell ill with the virus when he arrived in Fakarava has recovered in Tahiti.

However, while appointments can now go on for longer, hairdressers and barbers must still observe the "four square metre per person" rule.

Salons have been allowed to remain open, despite other businesses being closed amid the coronavirus outbreak.

But some have called for all salons and barbers to be shut during the outbreak, which has killed 13 in Australia.

Earlier this week Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a number of new restrictions, which saw play centres, libraries and museums closed from midnight on Wednesday.
