Samu Kerevi

Latu, Dempsey and Kerevi handed Wallabies starts

Latu was sin-binned after coming off the bench in the Wallabies' last two matches against New Zealand and Argentina, but the hooker gets a chance from the off in Cardiff.

Flanker Dempsey and centre Kerevi are promoted by Michael Cheika following their performances as replacements in a 37-20 defeat at the hands of the All Blacks in Yokohama last month.

Israel Folau moves to the wing to accommodate Kerevi, while lock Adam Coleman returns from a groin injury at the Principality Stadium.

Wallabies hopeful Kerevi, Kuridrani can join Spring Tour

Neither Kerevi or Kuridrani will line up for their NRC sides this weekend, which leaves them next-to-no chance to travel to Japan to face the All Blacks.

But it's understood Kerevi, in particular, remains a chance to link up with the Wallabies in Wales a week later.

The star Reds centre, who has had a four-month layoff due to surgery on a ruptured biceps suffered in June, said last week he is hopeful of making a return for Brisbane City if they qualify to play finals football in the NRC.

The Queensland side face a must-win clash with Canberra Vikings on Sunday.

Kerevi keen to combine with Beale

Kerevi's 2016 Wallabies debut came at a time when Beale was out injured, prior to his departure for Wasps.

That crossing of stars has left the pair with very little on field time together but that will, in all likelihood, change this year with Beale back on deck and Kerevi in career best form this Super Rugby season.

The star outside centre was cut down by injury in the Reds' loss to the Blues but prior to that he was the clear standout 13 in the competition and that was recognised this week, when he was named in the Super Rugby Team of the Year.

Kerevi backs Cooper to rediscover form

Kerevi made his return to the Wallabies fold this week after missing the June series with an ankle injury, but it was without his long-time Queensland teammate, who was a high-profile absentee from Michael Cheika’s Rugby Championship training squad.

Cooper’s omission was an that surprised players and fans alike, coming after a challenging year at the Reds.

The 70-Test Wallabies flyhalf has taken the chance to head on an overseas holiday while the Wallabies are in camp and Kerevi said Cooper was staying positive despite being overlooked.

Queensland Reds' star hailed a hero after helping woman 'being assaulted by car-jacker'

Amy Chu has told how she fought to protect her baby when a man allegedly tried to steal her car while the child was inside.

The Brisbane mother has been left traumatised by the incident.

“I could not give up, my baby is there, he might drive my car away. I have to fight for my baby,” she said.
