Hughie Fury will "shock" Joseph Parker with the British heavyweight's respected promoter suggesting the WBO champion has "flaws".
Parker fights Fury in Auckland on May 6, making his first defence of the WBO world heavyweight belt.
Fury's promoter Frank Warren has been in discussions with Parker's backer David Higgins of Duco Events in London over the past week finalizing details around the fight.
Warren took time out to offer some thoughts on what might happen in the ring. Predictably, he's talking up his 22-year-old fighter as interest builds in the UK around the promotion which will, be televised live there.
"It's a good fight, it's a very good fight. You've got the new kid on the block in Parker and I think from our end, one of the best young heavyweights in Europe and I think Mr Parker is going to have a shock on the night ... there will be a few shocks," Warren, who has had 35 years in the fight game, said.
"Joseph Parker, I think he's a very good fighter, but I think he's got his hands full."
Asked to elaborate, Warren suggested Fury had the intelligence to deal with anything Parker threw at him.
"Listen he (Parker) is a good fighter, don't get me wrong. He's a very good fighter, but there are, like all fighters, have flaws.
"We all know what fighters do well, its what he doesn't do well. That's where Hughie's so smart. He's got a fantastic boxing brain. He's a boxer, he's a thinking fighter and he's had the best preparation of any young fighter I can think of for a number of years.
"He's been working with his cousin (Tyson Fury) who's been the world champion, and all the preparation for his fights, all that top quality and top class sparring that Tyson had also worked for Hughie.
"This kid is very grand. He's never been on the floor as an amateur or a pro, he won the junior world heavyweight championships so he's the real deal and he's matured in his professional career."
Warren, inducted into boxing's Hall of Fame in 2008, stressed that Fury was "a different guy" after winning his well-documented battle with a rare form of acne.
He believed the challenge of overcoming that debilitating skin condition had made Fury tougher mentally and he was at a physical peak now after taking a year out of the ring.
"At the gym he's looking fantastic. You see him at ringside, he's solid, he hasn't got an ounce (of fat) on him. He could fight tomorrow; he's got a great trainer, and fighting family. His father is a sensational trainer, who guided Tyson."
Warren played down the consequences of the fight being in New Zealand after he was outgunned by Higgins in the purse bid with Duco winning hosting rights.
"They're travellers, travellers travels don’t they," Warren said of the Fury camp.
"They're travelling to New Zealand. That doesn’t bother 'em. That's what travelling people do."
