Kiwis deliver statement win over Toa Samoa

Named the Ken Irvine Medallist following his 24 tries during the Telstra Premiership season, Isaako's two tries gave Michael Maguire's side a commanding early lead that they wouldn't look back from, to secure their first shut-out win on home soil in over two decades.

Playing their first game since a narrow defeat to Australia in last year's World Cup semi final, New Zealand's combination of power through the middle and quality work from their outside backs was simply irrepressible as Samoa struggled to generate sustained attacking pressure or go-forward.

Kieran Foran eyes Kiwis return for Tonga test

Foran hasn't pulled on the black jumper since the last Anzac Day test in 2017, having battled injury for the second half of last year.

The 28-year-old also missed five games earlier this season due to an ankle injury, but declared himself back to full strength after playing four-straight games.

"My body's starting to feel really good," said Foran.

"It's great to be playing week in, week out footy and not have any niggles and injuries at the moment. My ankle's feeling good. Physically, I feel really good."

Kiwis captain allegedly bought cocaine after Anzac Test

A Canberra man has appeared in court after allegedly selling cocaine to two high-profile rugby league players after the Anzac Test last night.

Kiwis captain Jesse Bromwich and fellow player Kevin Proctor allegedly joined Canberra man Adrian Mark Crowther outside the Cube nightclub in Canberra's city centre.

Police allegedly observed Crowther on CCTV video preparing a white powder on his phone, before handing it to the two men, who rolled up bank notes and consumed the substance.

Foran and Packer back for Kiwis

A surprise inclusion in the squad ahead of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Packer has beaten out experienced hardmen Adam Blair and Martin Taupau for a starting berth.

The 27-year-old had wondered if his career was over after spending a year in prison for assault in 2014.

Packer admitted to being first shocked, and then emotional, when he received the call last week from Kidwell to inform him of his selection.

He labelled his selection as a reward for the family and friends that have stuck by him.

Field goal 'scandal' amuses Kiwis

In the aftermath of New Zealand's 17-16 victory over the 2016 Four Nations hosts in Huddersfield, sections of social media erupted with claims Johnson's 65th-minute drop goal had actually missed and been incorrectly awarded.

Kangaroos anticipate improved Kiwis

With Australia getting up for a 54-12 victory over Scotland in the opening round of tournament play last week and the Kiwis edging past England 17-16, the winner of the trans-Tasman Test on Sunday morning (AEDT) will inch closer to securing a spot in the Four Nations final.

Kiwis won't underestimate England

The 30-year-old Brown and his teammates arrived in the UK last week and will head from London to their base in Leeds on Tuesday.

They will take on an English squad with their tails up after last year's series win over the Kiwis, and a thumping 40-6 win over France on on the weekend.

Inglis brace helps Aussies see off Kiwis

Australia left new Kiwis coach David Kidwell with plenty of work to do ahead of the Four Nations in a fortnight's time, with Inglis securing his 30th try for Australia in front of a 20,000-strong crowd.
